Funding Your Studies

Subsidies are available for eligible students for some courses we offer. These subsidies are offered through a variety of programs and eligibility checks are a requirement of each program. The information provided below will give you an overview of some of the funding that is accessible for training offered by Simple Solutions. Please follow the links in this information to the relevant government websites to access the full suite of information on these funding opportunities to inform your choices. It is important to note that most of these programs can only be accessed once by an individual.

Certificate III Guarantee

The Certificate 3 Guarantee progam is a Queensland Government initiative which provides a government subsidy to support eligible individuals to complete their first post-school Certificate III qualification.

The program is open to any Queensland resident aged 15 years or over who is no longer at school (with the exception of VET in Schools students) and is an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and on the pathway to permanent residency. Prospective students must not have or be enrolled in a certificate III level or higher qualification (not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training).

Given the benefits that training provides to individuals, students undertaking certificate III level training and non-concessional students undertaking lower level training are required to contribute to the costs of their training through a co-contribution fee.

Higher Level Skills

The Higher Level Skills program is a key initiative under the Queensland Government's five-year training reform action plan, Great skills. Real opportunities.

The program provides a government subsidy to support eligible individuals to access one subsidised training place in selected certificate IV level and above qualifications, or priority skill sets.

The aim is to assist individuals to gain the higher level skills required to secure employment or career advancement in priority industries or to transition to university. Employers may also be able to access training to address workforce development needs.

The program is open to any Queensland resident aged 15 years or over, who is no longer at school and is an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and on the pathway to permanent residency. Prospective students must not have or be enrolled in a certificate IV or higher level qualification (not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training).
